Sun Valley Resort offers a complimentary guest resort shuttle for transportation to/from Friedman Memorial Airport and the Sun Valley Resort. Simply contact the resort at 208-622-2097 and schedule a ride base on your arrival and departure times.
Boise Airport | BOI
The Boise Airport is located approximately 150 miles from the Sun Valley Resort. Conference attendees can rent a car at the Boise airport or book a ride on the daily shuttle service between Boise Airport (BOI) and the Sun Valley Lodge via Sun Valley Express.

There is a daily shuttle service between Boise Airport (BOI) and the Sun Valley Lodge called Sun Valley Express. Advance tickets may be purchased by calling Sun Valley Express at (877) 633-8267 / (208) 622-8267 or going online to www.sunvalleyexpress.com. Tickets also may be purchased on the bus at time of departure on a space available basis.
Twin Falls Airport | TWF
The Magic Valley Regional Airport is located approximately 85 miles from Sun Valley Resort. Conference attendees can rent a car at the airport and proceed to Sun Valley.
Around Sun Valley
Sun Valley is a complete walking village, where automobiles are unnecessary. Condominuim units are located within easy walking distance of the Sun Valley Village, but complimentary bus service is also available. The Mountain Rides Transportation Authority system provides free transportation throughout the Wood River Valley, including continuous round trips from the Village to both Dollar and Bald Mountains and to the town of Ketchum and Elkhorn Springs.

Palmetto Bluff is 23 miles from Savannah’s airport. Rental car, ride share, and taxi services are available for transportation. Many flights connect through Charlotte and Atlanta. The area is also two hours from Charleston, S.C. and can accessed via car by I-95.

Hilton Head Island Airport | HHH
Palmetto Bluff is 22 miles from the Hilton Head Island airport. Rental car, ride share, and taxi services are available for transportation.
Once off Hilton Head Island, continue to Hwy 278/SC 46 intersection (5 miles). Go left on SC 46 and proceed to first stop sign (2 miles). Go right and continue on SC 46 to Palmetto Bluff entrance (5 miles). The entrance to Palmetto Bluff will be on your left; proceed to Welcome Gate.

Palmetto Bluff is 23 miles from Savannah/Hilton Head’s airports. Ubers are a great option for transportation to and from the resort.

FoodOvation does not have a dress code, and you are welcome to wear what makes you comfortable. Please leave your blazer and heels at home. As you can see from the photos within this website, relaxed-casual attire is encouraged. For example, wear what you might for a leisurely game of golf or a casual brunch. Please plan to spend about 50% of your time indoors and 50% outdoors; therefore, layering is encouraged. Days can be sunny and warm, and evenings may be cool. Please refer to the weather forecast details in the relevant location section above to pack accordingly. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.
Be sure to bring comfortable walking shoes and comfortable clothes (see Dress Code section above for details, and refer to the weather forecast details in the relevant location section above). Days may be warm and evenings may be cool, and layering is encouraged. For the activities, all necessary equipment will be provided and you do not need to bring anything with you.
